A scientific poster highlighted the results of a study analyzing the trends in the incidence of oral clefts and demographic differentials had been published by Dr. Lateefa Alkharafi during the International Association of Dental Research annual meeting March, 2020. The poster demonstrated that the average yearly incidence was 70 births/year.
In addition, it had been found that cleft lip was more prevalent than cleft palate in Kuwait. More boys (54%) were found in our sample compared to girls (46%).
